In most of the major public cloud providers (i.e. AWS, Azure etc.,) a VPC/VNET and its subnets are confined to a single region.
However, with Google Cloud, a subnet in a VPC can span across regions. In simple terms, you can create a VPC in a region, and can create a subnet within the VPC in a different region altogether, even though it's part of the same logical isolated network.
